Sonic the Hedgehog Animation Change

Scheduled for February  14, 2020, is the movie, Sonic: The Hedgehog. This is a particularly interesting but hilarious piece of media to me, because the originally scheduled release date was for November 8, 2019. This drastic change was all because of the backlash that was received over the appearance of Sonic. His animation had more human-like characteristics with his physique and eyes. But, after the trailer was released, it was a laughing stock across many different platforms, especially twitter. The people of twitter basically made fun of the design because it seemed so outrageous to them. So, the animators went back and reanimated the entire character of Sonic. The media essentially bullied those creators into creating a whole new movie, three months after the expected time. They gave him larger eyes and a less realistic "human" body. This whole event is hilarious that people on social media voiced their opinions of an already made movie, and they reanimated the whole movie to appeal to the crowd. In reality, I do not even think the young adults and teenagers tweeting about it were going to be a large consumer of the production. Image result for sonic movie animation change
